Job Summary
The digital media director will lead the fraternity’s digital content efforts, including social media marketing and website management, while overseeing a team of social media and website coordinators and interns. The director will work closely with the other directors in the Office of Marketing and Communications (MarComm) to create and distribute social media and digital content that reinforces DLP’s mission, vision and values, along with a variety of other projects. Often working to short deadlines, the director must be skilled at managing multiple projects for a team all while ensuring content is produced to a high standard.
Essential Job Functions
Working with the CMO, develop and implement a digital media strategy that includes social media, owned web content, and other digital channels
Oversee the creation, curation and distribution of high-quality social media content that reinforces the fraternity’s mission, vision and values, specifically to potential new members
Manage the fraternity’s website, ensuring accurate and properly branded content across DLP.org, including our e-commerce and event sites
Foster member engagement and participation through digital platforms such as Discord
Regularly monitor and analyze the performance of social media content and the website to evaluate their impact and make data-driven decisions
Have strong supervisory and leadership skills in order to lead, hire, develop, and oversee their digital media team
Required Qualifications
Experience managing social media and website content for an organization
Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a remote, asynchronous setting
Preferred Qualifications
Multiple years of supervisory experience in a marketing setting
Experience working with SEO, social media and online advertising, and website analytics
Experience managing online communities and increasing engagement
Reports to
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Supervises
Social media coordinators, social media interns and website coordinators
Expected Workload
5 - 10 hours per week on average
