Creative Director

Job Summary

The creative director will lead the fraternity’s branding, graphic design and creative work, while overseeing a team of graphic designers and interns. Serving as the fraternity’s senior graphic designer, the director will interpret a project’s needs and create briefs for the design team to produce refined and creative solutions. Often working to short deadlines, the director must be skilled at managing multiple projects for a team all while ensuring the consistent use of the fraternity’s established brand elements. The creative director will also work collaboratively with the other directors in the Office of Marketing and Communications (MarComm) on a variety of projects.


Essential Job Functions

  • Distill abstract ideas and client needs into refined and creative solutions

  • Ensure that all of the fraternity’s creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall established brand

  • Have strong supervisory and leadership skills in order to lead, hire, develop, and oversee their creative team

  • Lead multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines

  • Collaborate with a diverse group of team members and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working on and managing creative projects within established brand standards

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas and solutions to stakeholders, team members and the fraternity broadly

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a remote, asynchronous setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multiple years of supervisory experience in a creative setting

Reports to

  • Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Supervises

  • Graphic designers and graphic design interns

Expected Workload

  • 5 - 7 hours per week on average
