Social Media Coordinator

Job Summary

The social media coordinator will assist the digital media director in developing and executing the fraternity’s social media calendar. This will include creating original content and curating content that reinforces DLP’s mission, vision and values for various social media platforms, scheduling content, reviewing analytics, and using data to make decisions about future content.


Essential Job Functions

  • Work with the digital media director in developing a robust social media calendar for multiple platforms, such as Facebook (pages and groups), Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube, Discord and LinkedIn

  • Create original content for different social media platforms that reinforces the fraternity’s mission, vision and values

  • Curate content from various sources, including active chapters and partner organizations

  • Regularly monitor and analyze the performance of social media content to evaluate its impact and make data-driven decisions

  • Foster member engagement and participation through social media and digital platforms such as Discord and Facebook groups

Required Qualifications

  • Experience creating and curating social media content for an organization, such as managing chapter social media accounts

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a remote, asynchronous setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with graphic design and using design software such as Canva

  • Experience using social media scheduling software such as Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social or similar

  • Experience with advertising on social media

  • Experience managing online communities and increasing engagement

Reports to

  • Digital Media Director

Supervises

  • Social media interns

Time Commitment

  • Less than 5 hours per week on average
