Our collective congratulations go out to Br. Ahmed Al-Shamari of the Omega Chapter at the University of Arizona, who claimed the title of Homecoming King in October 2018! Br. Al-Shamari is studying Physiology, Neuroscience & Cognitive Science, Molecular & Cellular Biology, and Arabic with a minor in Biochemistry. He is also involved with many campus organizations and volunteers his time to worthy causes.
During his journey to the crown, Br. Al-Shamari made sure to place focus on his support and love for transgender and gender-nonconforming community. He noted “I know the world isn’t being kind right now, but please know that I stand with and support all of you in this fight for equal human rights.”
Br. Al-Shamari is a shining example of Lambda Men making their presence known. Great job, brother!
