Job Summary
The Copywriting Coordinator will assist the Chief Marketing Officer in the discovery, research and writing of newsworthy stories within the fraternity, along with writing copy for various marketing materials. Must be comfortable creating well-researched and accurate content within limited deadlines. The coordinator will communicate with leadership and potential interview sources. Excellent writing, spelling and understanding of grammar are essential to the role.
Essential Job Functions
Writing engaging content that conveys the fraternity’s overall mission, vision and purposes
Proactively brainstorming story ideas
Researching and organizing facts and sources
Interviewing sources
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience writing news stories
Education in Journalism, Communication Studies, English, Marketing, PR or similar
Expected Workload
5-7 hours per week, can vary depending on interest hits
