About Delta Lambda Phi National Social Fraternity

Delta Lambda Phi is a fraternity for gay, bisexual and progressive men. Vernon L. Strickland, III and three elderly gentlemen established a trust to create a social fraternity that would not discriminate based on sexual orientation and founded the national social fraternity in October 1986.

The Rho Chapter

In 1990, the Rho Chapter of DLP was established at California State University, at Long Beach. Since then, the Rho Chapter has grown phenomenally and has, simultaneously, garnered a prominent presence on the CSULB campus. The Rho Chapter is unique because we are a campus-based chapter which does not restrict membership to CSULB students. In fact, we reach out into all local institutes of higher learning, including trade schools and junior colleges, to find the most worthy of men to grace the title of Lambda Man.

The Rho Chapter is proudly part of the Cultural Greek Council at CSULB alongside 11 other amazing cultural Greek organizations. We look forward to many more years at CSULB, making our presence known.
