The Beta Omicron chapter began as an interest group and then a colony at the University of Toledo. During the time of the forming of the colony at the University of Toledo, a seperate interest group attempted to form at Bowling Green State University and failed to discrimination and backlash from students on the campus. After the colony formed at the University of Toledo, they extended their membership to the students of Bowling Green State University, thus creating a multi-campus colony. The Delta pledge class was the first class to be made up of students from both campuses. The colony officially charted as a chapter on May 19, 2007 and became the Beta Omicron Chapter of Delta Lambda Phi National Social Fraternity as a multi-campus chapter, allowing students from both the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
